PSALM 14: 1
As we begin this month, many called this day April fool's day and many will try to play pranks or jokes on us today. But notice what the Bible has to say about a fool today. A person that says in their heart there is no God is a fool. I am not sure how many real atheists are really among us today. But I do believe that a person is in a sad state that does not believe that God is real.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord on this day please deal with the hearts of the unbelievers.

JOHN 2: 19-22
Because resurrection day is this coming Sunday I thought that we would share some scripture about our Lord's death and resurrection the next few days. Notice in verse 19 here how that the words Jesus went over the heads of the Jews. When he said I will rebuild in three days they missed that he was talking about his body and not an earthly building. Many people take the word of God out of context today and never really understand what the Lord is saying. Remember this, always prayerfully approach the Bible under the leadership of the Holy Ghost. The Bible under the leadership of the spirit of God is understandable.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord help me to understand the Bible as I read it today.
4/3/26
ISAIAH 53: 4-7
Today's text has always touched my heart. The scripture is talking about what our savior went through where you and I. The Bible teaches that he was wounded for our sin in verse five. The verse that really touches my heart is verse seven. He was oppressed and afflicted and opened not his mouth. He never complained about what was about to happen to him. I don't know about you but I spend too much time complaining. The Lord faced death for you and I and said nothing. What a savior we serve.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Thank you Lord for your faithfulness to the father and for not complaining.

LUKE 23: 33
I know that today's reading is short but it is powerful. I had the chance a few years ago to stand just below calvary's hill and see the three crosses. I can tell you that it is a Heartbreaking sight. Jesus Christ, the son of God, hung on that cross for you and I. Not because of his wrongdoing, he did not do anything wrong, but he hung there for our sins. The next time we get ready to say something like no one cares remember Calvary. Someone does care, Jesus cares.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Thank you Lord for what you did on that cross for me.
4/5/26
MATTHEW 28: 1-10
That we usually share the Old Testament one day and the New Testament the next period but with this being resurrection day we had to share this text today I don't think that we need a big explanation of today's scripture. If you read this text today let it take you back some 2000 years to that morning. It will touch your heart. Happy resurrection day.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:   Lord thank you for coming out of that grave for me.
4/6/26
ISAIAH 1: 18
What a powerful verse to start the week with period I love that line let us rejoice together. When a person will listen to the Lord's reasoning and be faithful to that reasoning that person gold and silver and it's slowing down call advantage will change for the good. I cannot think of anyone else in this world that I would rather reason with than the Lord. When I raised him with him my sins can go from being scarlet to white as snow. What a savior we serve. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Thank you Lord for allowing me to reason with you.
4/7/26
LUKE 5 1-8
I love this text. I wonder did Peter learn here not to argue with Jesus? Jesus told Peter to launch out and let down the nets. Peter said we have fished all day and night and didn't catch anything. But as Jesus stood there and looked at him Peter said OK. Peter and the group had the nets fill up so much that they began to break. Maybe we should take a lesson from this scripture and not question the Lord. When Jesus tells us to do something let's do it.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord remind me to listen to you and help me to be obedient to you daily.
4/8/26
PSALM 140: 1-13
Have you ever asked the Lord to deliver you? David prayed this prayer to the Lord. Verse 3 explains what the evil men were doing to him. They were attacking David with their tongue and lips as well as wanting to get their hands on him. I love David's voice in verse four. Keep me oh Lord- no matter what you and I are facing today the Lord can still protect and deliver us. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Deliver me Lord today from evil men.
4/9/26
I CORINTHIANS 9: 22
Today's reading is short but what a word. Paul is saying that he could be made all things to all men that he might be able to see some won to Christ. Paul was saying I can talk to all people on their level to win them to Jesus. Here is the lesson today. Talk to people about what they know, health, jobs, family, then tell them about Jesus. We need to be able to talk to the weak the strong everyone on their level.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord help me to be all things to all men that I might lead some to the saving power of Jesus Christ.
4/10/26
JOB 38: 1-11
Job was a good man. The devil tried to destroy him but he trusted the Lord. Don't misunderstand this verse God is not necessarily upset at Job but he is upset that Job has been listening to the words of his three friends. God tells Job to stand up like a man and listen. God then asked Job some straightforward questions period where were you when I made the earth? Where were you when I made the stars or the oceans? In other words God was saying to Job your friends don't understand that I am in control. The point of today's reading God does not need our help to figure things out. God has got all things working together.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord remind me to trust you instead of doubting you.
4/11/26
LUKE 7: 11-17
As you read this scripture today please take note in verse 13 that the Lord had compassion on this widow mom that had lost her son. The point is this. The Lord knows what you and I are facing today. He knows if the load is heavy. the Lord knows the pain that we will face. The Lord knows what is on our very hearts. The Lord will have compassion on us when we need it. What an awesome caring savior we serve.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Thank you Lord for loving me and caring for me.
4/12/26
PSALM 121: 1-8
This Psalm is short but what a powerful message. The psalmist tells us that his help comes from the Lord in verse two period do you know where your help comes from today? Think about it, who can I call once a day for help? The doctor, the banker, the lawyer, a family member? I think I will call on the one that the Psalm writer trusted. I think that I will call on the Lord.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord help me to always look to you for my help and strength.
4/13/26
ROMANS 6: 23
I know that we have looked at this verse before but I think it is not a bad thing to be reminded of it every now and then as to the price of sin. It is death. That is a high price but God will give us life through his son Jesus Christ if we will trust him. Let this be a reminder to us, to stay away from even the very appearance of sin today. The price is way too high to fool around with sin. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord help me to keep far from sin today and to be mindful of the cost of sin.
4/14/26
DEUTERONOMY 30: 15-20
Every day you and I make choices. We choose what we want to eat. We choose what we will wear today. We choose where we will go today. But according to the Bible we had better remember that our greatest choice in the world is to follow God or not. These verses teach that if we make the wrong choice as to follow God or not it could shorten our lives on this earth. Here is the point, choose to follow God 100% today and things will turn out better.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:
Lord I choose to follow you.
4/15/26
ROMANS 8: 28
I know that we have shared this verse before but the Holy Ghost put this on my heart very heavy today. Someone needed to hear this verse today whatever you are facing, whatever you are going through trust the Lord. Somehow some way he will always make things work. She
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord remind me that you are still in control today.
4/16/26
PSALM 147: 5
In today's text there are three things that we learn. First, our Lord is great. He is that! He is greater than anything on this side of eternity second, he has great power. Jesus told us in Matthew 28 that all power was given unto him. Then third, his understanding is infinite. This means he knows everything. He knows their thoughts, are intentions, and are very movements. Nothing on this earth, nothing in this universe goes on that he does not know about. We really do serve an awesome God.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Thank you Lord for being who you are. Thank you for letting me serve you.
4/17/26
JOHN 10: 27-30
Here is an interesting question. If you and I are saved today, if we know Jesus Christ as our savior and Lord, who can steal us away from God? Jesus tells us here in verse 28 that no one can pluck you are I out of God's hand. Then in verse 29 Jesus declares that the father is greater than all. No one can take them out of his hand. You and I should feel safe in the Lord's hand. Notice verse 30, no one can take us away from the father or the son. They are one period what a God we serve. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:   Thank you Lord for keeping me safe in an unsafe world.

GENESIS 7: 12-16
I was looking at space book the other day, and for those of you that know me you know that I call it spacebook. Sometimes people's comments are really out there. Anyway, there was a discussion about Noah and the ark. After reading some of the people's comments I was amazed at the comments that some wrote saying things like the flood never happened. Saying that this world has never been covered with water. Some even wrote they did not believe that there was a God. As you look at this text today remember there is a God. There was a worldwide flood. And remember God's word is total truth.
PRAYER FOR  THE DAY:  Thank you Lord for the Bible, the word of God.
4/19/26
ACTS 26: 24-29
Today's scripture tells of Paul's chance to speak before a king by the name of king Agrippa. In verse 24 one of the government leaders, Festus, tries to calm Paul down. But Paul goes right on preaching the gospel message to the king. When Paul finishes the message the king tells Paul almost bow persuaded me to be a Christian. Stop and think about these words today. This king Agrippa almost got saved. What a sad statement, almost. He almost got a future home in heaven but he did not come to Jesus. Almost. What a sad statement.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord please use me to share Jesus Christ with someone today.
4/20/26
PSALM 120: 1-2
To be honest I just felt like somebody needed to hear these two verses today. If you are in distress call upon the Lord. He will hear you. The Bible reminds us today even if someone is lying on you and I God knows how to deliver those that trust him. So if there is a deceitful tongue attacking you today stop, don't try to take it on, call on the Lord. Let him handle it. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Help me Lord when I face the stress in my life.
4/21/26
II PETER 3: 1-7
The Bible here teaches you and I that in the days before the Lord calls the church out there will be scoffers, people living in ungodly fashion and making light of the Lord coming back. These people will question if the Lord will ever come. They will say where is he, I have heard that he was coming for years so where is he. Don't let that bother you today. Verse 7 in today's text reminds us that the Lord has got this. The Bible reminds us that the Lord can Reserved unto fire against the day of judgment. In other words the Lord has got this. In his timing. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord help me to deal with the doubters and scoffers today.
4/22/26
AMOS 8: 11-12
The Bible is teaching us today that there will be a time on the earth that people will want to hear the word of God but they will not easily find it. I believe that we are close to those days now. A lot of our pulpits today seem to be putting out everything but the word of God. Some put out poems, some put out politics, some put out man's opinion. Many don't just put out the word of God anymore. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:   Lord please bless our church pulpits that will preach the word of God, the Bible without compromise.
4/23/26
ROMANS 16: 17-20

In today's text Paul warns us to get away from those who put out false doctrine. Notice in verse 17 it says to mark them. Notice why, they cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine. In other words they cause confusion and separate the family of God. It tells us that they do not serve the Lord, they serve themselves. Watch out for false teachers and false doctrine and stay away from it. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord protect me from false teachers. Help me to always be in the true word of God.

II CHRONICLES 7: 24
I know that we have shared this verse before but with all that is happening in our Nation Today I really believe that the Lord put this on my heart to share today once again. This verse gives us the very recipe for revival. If God's people will admit that they need it and humble themselves and ask God for it pray and look to God for revival seek my face and repent of our sins turn from their wicked ways God will heal our land. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Please send revival to America today. Please Lord heal our land.
4/25/26
MATTHEW 5: 3—12

Today's study will be a little different. We are going to read the Beatitudes. I don't think that they need a lot of explaining. Jesus did a great job putting them before us. A few years ago when I went to Israel I had the honor of going to the place where it is believed that Jesus gave this message. Let these words speak to your hearts today. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Thank you Lord for the word of God. 4/26/26
I KINGS 11: 9

Today's reading is short but powerful. The Bible teaches us here that the Lord was angry with Solomon because he turned his heart from the Lord. The message of this verse is this, friend you do not want almighty God mad at you. Let this be a reminder today, let's live our life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord and every day try to do the will of God. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord help me to stay in your will every day. Help me Lord to keep myself in your will always.
4/27/26
I TIMOTHY 6: 10
Today's verse is probably one of the most misinterpreted verses in the Bible. So many people say the Bible declares that money is the root of all evil period but that is not what the Bible declares. The Bible declares that the love of money or the lust for money is the root of all evil. The Bible is not saying it is a sin to have money it is a sin when money is the first desire and driving force of our lives. Worship God not money. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord help me to never put money or anything else before you.
4/28/26
HOSEA 1: 10

I want us to see how important and how special God's people are to him. The word of God tells us here that the children of Israel, God's chosen people, shall be as the sand of the sea Which cannot be measured. God's people cannot and will not be defeated. Friends we had better always stand with Israel. Are they a perfect people? No. But they are God's chosen people. America will stand as long as America stands with Israel. PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord I pray for the peace of Jerusalem today.
4/29/26
ROMANS 13: 8
Today's verse may make some people a little uncomfortable period but the Bible here is telling us that as children of God we should not owe debts to others periods in other words we should not owe money or favors to others. Now I know if you were like me without credit over the years I could not own much. My house, my car, my clothes all have been bought on the installment plan over the years period but the Bible teaches the only thing that we should owe others is to love that person in the Lord as the Lord has commanded. PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Lord help me to pay my bills and owe no man Other than my love for others and the Lord. 4/30/26
PROVERBS 13: 24

OK, some will not like today's word. But this is the word of God. Kids need to be disciplined. I know that the world has a lot of different forms of discipline today for our kids. From sitting them in a corner to time out. The truth is the Bible declares to spare the rod means a  parent Disciplines the child. Do you think that the rod will hurt a child? My mom called it a keen switch. I am going on 63 and I'm still alive and I got the rod a lot. No, the child will survive. PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord help our parents and our kids today
