Psalm 14:1
Ok, with today being known as April Fools Day, I thought that it would be good to check out what the Bible teaches a fool is!! According to the scripture, a fool is one that believes in his heart that there is NO GOD! One of the saddest people on this planet! With all the beauty on the planet, the oceans, the rivers, the sky, for someone to believe that there is no God, is beyond words!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s pray for those that believe this lie! That their eyes may be opened and that they come to the Lord!! 4/2/24
Acts 5:1-11
I know that today’s reading is a little long, but what a powerful text! The point of this scripture is that Ananias and Sapphira lied about how much they sold a piece of land for and claimed that they were giving the whole amount to the Lord, when they were actually holding back some for themselves. The Bible here teaches us that it is a dangerous thing to lie to God!  Both Ananias and Sapphira died for the sin. Let’s never lie to God!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, help me always to be truthful before you! 4/3/24
II Chronicle 7:14
We need old fashion, Holy Ghost filled, devil chasing, soul cleansing Revival across our land today!!  This verse give us the recipe to make this happen! We are to humble ourselves, admit before the Lord that we need Him. We are to pray and ask God for Revival. “Seek my face”, we are to look to the Lord only for Revival. Seek God’s will. Then “turn from their wicked ways”, we need to repent of our sins before the Lord!!  Let’s start doing these things today in our lives!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lords, send us Revival!! 4/4/24
Revelation 13:14 and Isaiah 40:8
Beautiful scripture for the Lords day! We can always count on the word of God! This book will last forever! It cannot be destroyed! It cannot be stopped! It cannot and should not ever be watered down! We should stand on the word, share the word and live by it daily! Thank God for the Bible!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s pray and thank the Lord for the Bible and for our risen Savior on this Resurrection Sunday!! 4/5/24
Colossians 1:12-17
What a God we serve! Do we really understand what God has done for those who trust Him? We have an inheritance when we trust His Son Jesus Christ as our Savior (v 12). God has delivered us from the power of darkness (v 13).  God has redeemed us through the blood of the Lamb (v 14). He is Almighty God (v 16)!!  What a privilege to serve Him!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s thank Almighty God for the privilege to serve Him!! 4/6/24
Psalm 122:1
Do you really enjoy going to church? We should! Today’s scripture reminds us that we should be glad to be in the house of the Lord! If I am saved, coming to church should be a good thing. Church should not be a chore, it should be a blessing!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s pray for the church today and the power of God to fill it!! 4/7/24
Acts 18:9-10
Have you ever felt like the Lord was leading you to talk to somebody or leading you to share the word of God with someone, but you were afraid?  Well, according to today’s scripture, we should not let fear stop us! The Lord tells us not to hold our peace! Verse 10 even reminds us that the Lord will be with us and that no one can hurt us! So speak today! Give that message to someone that the Lord tells you to share it with!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s pray for the words that the Lord wants us to say and for the strength to say them! 4/8/24
Proverbs 29:18
Today’s study only has one verse, but man oh man, what a message! The Bible teaches us here that if we don’t have something to look forward to, we will die! I have heard stories over the years of people who worked hard all of their lives, they stopped all of a sudden and retired, then they died. The word of God reminds us we must have something to look forward to! Let’s purpose in our hearts today some projects, some work to do for the Lord!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s ask God for a vision of reaching more souls for the Lord than ever before this year!! 4/9/24
II Peter 5:8-9
Let me ask you a crazy question- does the devil give you a hard time?  I think I know the answer to that question. Absolutely he does! The devil gives all of us a hard time. The Bible here teaches us how to deal with him. First, always be on the lookout, “be sober, be vigilant”. Second, remember who he is- “your adversary”. He hates us because we were made in the image and likeness of Almighty God. To deal with him, do what verse 9 says. “Resist steadfast in the faith”.  Go away from him, go in the other direction from him “in the faith”. In other words, you and I are not a match for the devil, but the Lord is!  Resist the devil in Jesus name “in the faith”!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, give me victory over the devil today!! 4/10/24
I Chronicles 4:10
What a prayer found in our text for today! Jabez asked God for a blessing. A big part of that blessing that he asked for was for his outreach to be “enlarged”.  That should be our prayer every day to God! Lord, help me to reach more people and more souls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Lord, would you bless me with a larger coast, more land, more chances to reach more people with the message that Jesus saves!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, enlarge my coast and help me win more to Jesus!! 4/11/24
Matthew 6:5-8
Our scripture today puts focus on prayer. The Lord here teaches us to remember that real prayer is communication between the child of God and Almighty God. Prayer is not a time for showing others how close to God we are. It’s not a time to try to impress others with vain speech or vain repetitions. As a matter of fact, prayer is honest conversation from the child of God to Almighty God!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s spend time in prayer today just thanking God for blessings and for always being there and answering prayers! 4/12/24
Joshua 8:1-3
Today’s scripture shows us something that all of us as children of God need to do! Obey Almighty God. Notice in verses 1 and 2 the Lord God tells Joshua what he wants him to do. Notice verse 3, “so Joshua arose”. Joshua stared doing immediately what the Lord asked him to do! Today, you and I can get in trouble before the Lord if we hesitate or put off that which God leads us to do!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, help me to be faithful and obedient to that which you want me to do daily! 4/13/24
Luke 16:19-25
Today’s text is not beautiful scripture. It does not put a smile on your face. It does not warm your heart. But it is true and it needs to be shared! The rich man here represents a person who puts trust in riches of this world instead of God’s Son, Jesus Christ! Tell others. Warn others. Hell is a real place and if a person leaves this world without Jesus Christ in their heart and life, the will go there!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lets name names before the Lord today that could be headed to hell right now and ask the Lord to use you and I to share Jesus with them!! 4/14/24
Psalm 40:1-3
This is one of my all time favorite scriptures! The Bible here teaches you and I if we will wait patiently for the Lord, He will do three things.  One-He will hear us (v 1).  Two-He will deliver us (v 2). Three-He will bless us beyond what we ask for (v 3)!!  “A new song in my mouth”!  Whatever you are facing today, “wait on the Lord patiently”.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s ask the Lord for strength as we wait patiently. 4/15/24
I John 3:13-14
We are reminded in today’s scripture that as children of God, you and I should not be surprised or upset if the world does not like us. According to the Bible here, the world will often times hate us! The text reminds us after we are saved (v 14), we should and will love the child of God!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, help me to pray for those that hate me! 4/16/24
Hosea 6:1-2
Our churches across the land and around the world today need Revival! The Bible here teaches us that if we as the people of God would return to the Lord, He will revive us! It’s time for families to get back to the Lord! Back in prayer! Back to church! Spread the word! Let’s have Revival!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s ask the Lord for old fashion, devil chasing, Holy Ghost filled Revival in our churches across the land!! 4/17/24
Acts 12:1-12
Yes, I know today’s text is long, but good stuff! A few days ago we were talking about prayer. This text shows us the power of prayer! Peter was on death row, but in verse 5 “prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for them”. As you read verses 6-12, take note that God will answer prayer and God will deliver when the church prays! I am so thankful to be a part of a praying church here at Victory!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, bless our church family as we stand together in the family of God!! 4/18/24
Psalm 122:1
With this being the Lord’s day, let’s be faithful in the house of the Lord! Is church an important part of your life? Do you have a desire to be in the house of the Lord? If not, let’s do some soul searching!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, help me have an even greater desire to be in the house of the Lord!! 4/19/24
Colossians 3:18-20
Did you know that according to the Bible everybody in the home has a responsibility before God? Without me pointing it out in today’s text, see if you can see wives, husbands, children’s responsibilities before the Lord in the word. Maybe our nation is so mixed up today because we don’t to things God’s way as much as we should!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s pray for our families to be pleasing to Almighty God! 4/20/24
Proverbs 3:5-6
Today’s scripture is very easy to understand! I am to trust in the Lord above everyone and everything in the world! Do you ever notice most of the time the things in this world that we worry about are “man mad worries”?  I mean, you can trust God and His word! If the Lord said that He would meet our needs, then know He will! So it should be easy to trust in the Lord, right?
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, help me trust you more than anyone else in the world!! 4/21/24
John 3:16-18
If you have not already, I ask you to put in your memory verse 16 in this text. Friends, if we are saved today, we should tell a lost and dying world daily that God loves them! We should tell the world that God sent His Son to die for all of us! We should tell the whole world that rejecting Jesus Christ, God’s Son, means rejecting Almighty God (v 18) !!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, help me to share this verse with as many people as I can today! 4/22/24
Isaiah 53:4-7
Every now and then it is good just to be reminded of the Savior that we serve! Today’s scripture reminds me of the pain and suffering that my Lord was willing to endure for me and you! Notice verse 7, “He opened not His mouth”.  He did not complain. No matter what you are facing today, don’t complain. Our Lord didn’t when he died for us!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s pray that we can have the heart of our Savior every day! 4/23/24
I Corinthians 15:55-58
Does death scare you?  It shouldn’t! According to our text today, we have victory, even over death in Jesus Christ our Lord! When I was a child, I would lay in bed and think about dying. It would scare me, but over the years death does not have the same sting anymore for me! Remember, if we are saved, we should not be afraid to die!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s pray that death puts no fear in our hearts! 4/24/24
Psalm 33:18-22
Today’s text tells us that the Lord watches over His children! Think about it. The Bible teaches that even the very hairs on our head are numbered! The Bible here says that the Lord will deliver our soul from death and take care of us alive when there is famine in the land (v 19). Sounds to me that the Lord is a lot better to his children than the world is to us!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY: Let’s just thank the Lord today for being so good to you and I !  4/25/24
Mark 2:1-11
I know that today’s reading is a little long, but it is good! The Bible is teaching us that when Jesus is in the midst, things will happen! When Jesus is in the midst, 1-the crowd will come (v 2), 2-the word of God will be at hand (v 2), 3-forgivness of sin will be offered (v 5), and 4-healing will be made possible (v 9-11). I don’t know about you, but I sure do want Jesus in the midst!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, please be in the midst every day of our lives! 4/26/24
Malachi 3:6
Have you ever been around someone who changes with the weather?  I mean they are for whomever is around them anywhere, any time. They don’t seem to have their own convictions. They just go with the flow of the crowd. That is not who God is!  According to our verse for today, God does not change! He means what He says and He says what He means! God can be trusted! Let’s learn the verse today and let’s remember it’s meaning! HE DOES NOT CHANGE!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, remind me every day that no matter how much the world changes, that you Lord do not change! 4/27/24
Galatians 6:7-8
Today’s text reminds us that God cannot be fooled! God is not mocked. It also teaches us that our deeds will come back to us! My father in-law was a farmer for many years before he went to be with the Lord. He told me one time that “boy, you cannot plant onions and expect corn to come up”. He was right! According to the Bible here, what we sow today, good or bad, will come back to us tomorrow!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s ask the Lord to help up plant good seeds today! 4/28/24
Isaiah 1:18
Nobody can clean you and I up the way that God can! Our scripture today reminds us that our sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow! The blood of Jesus Christ is the only thing in this universe that can clean up sin! Wow!! What a Savior we serve!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Let’s thank Almighty God for the Power of the Blood!! 4/29/24
Revelation 20:7-10
It is good every now and then to remember that the devil that gives you and I such a hard time is going to be taken care of some day! One day, according to our text for today (v 10), he will be cast into hell and he will be there forever! If the devil is giving you a hard time today, call on the Lord and remember- the devil’s day is coming!!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Lord, give me victory over the devil!! 4/30/24
Job 19:25-27
What a message to end the month of April with! Job let us know that even in pain, distress, and losing everything, he knew that his redeemer lives! Let’s take it from Job today, Jesus Christ is alive and well, no matter what is going on around us!
PRAYER FOR THE DAY:  Thank you Jesus!!
